Your Orientation is made up of three key steps: Completing key tasks before O-Week. Participating in your compulsory O-Week and Faculty Welcome sessions. Another reason to come to Lund on Arrival Day is that you will be able to participate in the Orientation Weeks from the start. The Orientation Weeks are filled with activities, fairs, excursions, tours and seminars, and are a great opportunity to join a mentor group and make new friends, see new places and learn more about Sweden and Lund. Orientation Lund University organises an Arrival Day each semester for new students. This date is usually the week before term starts. On Arrival Day student mentors will meet international students from Copenhagen Airport and show you how to buy your train ticket to Lund. At Lund train station student mentors You have the option of taking a short "Swedish in a nutshell" course, designed specifically for exchange students, during the orientation week before regular classes start. The course is offered at beginning and intermediate levels.

When I arrived, I was greeted by students in blue t-shirts (Lund’s official colour). We were shuttled to the main University building where we got to buy tickets for welcome week events, collect our keys and meet other students. International student orientation begins the week before the first day of classes. The international student orientation is mandatory for all non-immigrant (F-1 or J-1) students. The Center for International and Cultural Education coordinates the international student orientation. Orientation is designed to help you familiarize yourself with the University of Regina and all that we have to offer.
